Welcome to the Sportsman and Family Lodge on Long Lake! This home was formerly the J&J Resort, now converted to a large year-round vacation rental property. It has 4 bedrooms upstairs and additional sleeping options downstairs to accommodate small and large groups.

It has a very large private deck along the lake with awesome views of the lake and the Boy Scouts property across the Bay. The Boy Scouts own 10 miles of undeveloped shoreline which makes this one of the most beautiful lakes in the area. The property has its own private dock and fire pit. It also shares a convenient fish house to clean your fish on this great fishery. Long Lake is known for it walleye and is the "Walleye Capital of Wisconsin". It also has an abundant supply of small-mouth bass, large-mouth bass, crappies and sunfish.

The home has a large kitchen and washer-dryer. There are many restaurants and marinas (providing gas and rental boats) on the lake so that you never have to leave the lake. Off the lake, there are some great restaurants and golfing options. If you like to shop, Stone Lake is only 10 minutes away and Hayward is only 30 minutes away. Hayward always has something going on and its Main Street is loaded with shops, restaurants, its famous candy store and bakery and even a Wine Cave with entertainment.

Once you arrive, Northwoods Compass, our property manager, will provide you with a Welcome Book that provides details on the property so you can feel right at home and gives you other local restaurant, shopping and recreational activities.   * This property is adjacent to Sam's Place, a small resort. The owners are related to the owner of this rental house and are very friendly and helpful during your stay. The home has its own private large deck at lakeside with its own private dock and fire pit, fire wood is provided free.

  * Long Lake, the Walleye Capital of Wisconsin, is 3,300 acres in size. Known for its walleye, pike, bass, and perch fishing, Long Lake is also home to several on- and off-water restaurants and bars. The lake is clear and provides great swimming, tubing and water skiing. Stone Lake, home of the Cranberry Festival, is only a 5 minute drive, Hayward is conveniently located about 25 minutes away. Golf courses and other recreational opportunities are close by. Washburn County Forest Land is located across the road and contributes to the hundreds of miles of trails available for hiking and mountain biking. The cabin is located on the north end of Long Lake where you are able to enjoy water activities, the wildlife, and the sheer beauty of the lake. Loons are everywhere and you can see an eagle's nest just 100 yards away at the water's edge. A nearby artesian well offers continuous crystal clear drinking water--great to enjoy while on a bike ride or to enjoy at the cabin.
  

A signed rental agreement and a $250 refundable security deposit is required to reserve this cabin. A 5.5% sales tax is applied to all rentals. Please call us for rental periods less than 1 week.
